So Early, :30

College-bound kids didn’t see the Army as a fit.

If you were headed to college, military recruitment was background noise. Most kids didn’t realize they could enter as officers, and almost none pictured themselves in uniform.

Decide to Lead presented the Army as leadership training. In every ad, a band cuts across a real college student like a sash. Campus clothes on the outside, officer uniform underneath. If you want kids to picture themselves leading, cast kids they recognize.

Decide to Lead poster: You’ll become your own leader. But you won’t do it on your own. Decide to Lead poster: Succeed as a leader in ways you never thought possible. Decide to Lead poster: No one was destined to lead. They just wanted it. Decide to Lead poster: We give you the skills. You decide where they take you.
Decide to Lead poster: Do you know what to do with all your potential? Decide to Lead poster: You have what it takes to lead. Just take the first step. Decide to Lead poster: No other training prepares you to lead so early. Decide to Lead poster: Be a leader in your community by becoming one in ours.
